Truly Madly Greekly
Sun, Sea and a Sexy Stranger…the perfect ingredients for a summer holiday
Capable, confident and career-driven, Ellen had her dream job and a marriage proposal from boyfriend Ross.  Life was good, her future set.  Until it wasn’t and everything fell apart…
Whisked off to the beautiful island of Corfu to plan her sister Lacey’s big, fat, Greek wedding, Ellen is hoping some time out will help clear her head and heal her heart.  But letting go of her past is not going to be easy.
With Lacey in full on Bridezilla mode, Ellen is soon distracted from her own problems. And when the all-inclusive treats on offer at hotel Blue Vue include one gorgeous, brooding Adonis, Yan Aleksandrov, Ellen finds him difficult to resist.
But Ellen isn’t looking for love or lust, or anything involving too much ouzo…or is she?
Fans of Lucy Diamond, Miranda Dickinson and Lindsey Kelk will want to escape to Corfu with Mandy Baggot this summer.

Can you summarize your latest work in just a few words?
Two sisters head to Corfu to plan a big, fat, Greek wedding but both get more than they bargained for!
What was the inspiration for this book?
Definitely the gorgeous Greek island of Corfu. I’ve been holidaying there since 2003 and it really is a jewel of a location. Sitting around the pool at the Mareblue Beach Hotel, watching the comings and goings, taking part in the animation games, soaking up the sun, sea and scenery all contributed to the beginnings of Yan and Ellen’s story.
What are you working on next? Do you have a WIP?
I’m currently just about to start the first round of edits on a Christmas book for Bookouture which should be out in October. I’m also working on a couple of other books and planning a new summer read! It’s always busy!
What has been the best part of the writing process…and the worst?
The very best part is creating new characters and new plots and watching them grow. I love that blank page potential at the beginning when you never really know how the story is going to turn out.
Edits are the worst. Going back, deleting bits, adding bits in. It does make for a much better read but at the time you just want to pull your hair out.
What book(s) are you reading at the moment?
At the moment I’m reading Zara Stoneley’s Stables Mates. I loved Jilly Cooper’s Riders and this reminds me of a modern take on that.
On my holidays I read Samantha Tonge’s Game of Scones and Angela Marsons Evil Games – both very different!
Romance is my go-to genre but I do love a good thriller too!

 My review
If you’re looking for a perfect beach read and fancy being whisked off to Greece, then this is the book for you. Add two sisters planning a wedding, a couple of dishy men and a secret one of them is trying to keep and you have a heady summer mix. This book just hurtles along as you turn the pages to find out if it will be happy ever after for one or both sisters. Mandy’s love of Greece shows through and although this book is a lighthearted beach read, it does touch on the problems faced by migrant workers in Greece. I loved the interaction between Ellen and Jan. I wasn’t too keen on Lacey but in true Baggot style it all works out in the end. An easy fun read that made me want to book a ticket to Corfu immediately.

5/5
