The Remingtons ~ Romance
THE REMINGTONS are a 5-book
contemporary romance series featuring alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered
women. They're flawed, funny, passionate, and very relatable to readers who
enjoy new adult romance, contemporary romance, and women's fiction.
READ, WRITE LOVE
Book Five, The Remingtons
Bestselling author Kurt Remington
lives to write. He spends twelve hours a day in front of his computer, rarely
leaving the seclusion of his beach-front property, where he’s come to finish his
latest thriller—that is, until free-spirited Leanna Bray nearly drowns in the
ocean trying to save her dog. Kurt’s best-laid plans are shot to hell when he
comes to their rescue. Kurt’s as irritated as he is intrigued by the sexy, hot
mess of a woman who lives life on a whim, forgets everything, and doesn’t even
know the definition of the word organized.

My Review
Of all the Remington book so far, this one
is my favourite. I’m not sure if it’s because the hero, Kurt, is a writer, and
we get to see gentler side to the hero instead of pure Alpha male or maybe it’s
because the setting is Cape Cod. I can
imagine myself on the deck gazing at the sea although I’m sure I wouldn’t be as
disciplined a writer as him. Although I’ve
never been there, Melissa Foster does a great job of taking the reader along
with her.
I really liked Leanna too and the dilemma
she faces. Her cottage industry, Luscious Leanna’s Treats, is about to expand.
What will happen at the end of summer? I love that way that Kurt and Leanna are
opposites and how she brings mess and confusion into Kurt’s precise, orderly
life. There are lots of steamy moments but underlying it all, it’s still quite
a sweet romance.
This is a great summer or beach read which
will inspire you to go to the sea, perhaps with a dog, in search of your own
hero.
